Duties & Responsibilities:Review work performed on aircraft before it is released to the Operations Section of the Division, and ensure that the proper inspection records, reports and forms used are properly executed in order to assure quality control standards for all aircraft inspections.

Maintain historical records for fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft at all five Division Aviation Unit stations, pertaining to life limited items for the airframe, engine, propeller, rotor and appliances of each aircraft based on flight hour, cycle, land and calendar time.

Collect and maintain files of work orders and inspection forms for each aircraft.

Maintain a current file of pertinent FAA specifications, bulletins, manufacturer's manuals, specifications, instructions or other data in relation to related Federal Aviation Regulations for maintaining aircraft.

Make periodic checks on all inspection tools and calibration of precision test equipment and devise and maintain a system of keeping records of the calibration of inspection tools and precision test equipment, taking steps to ensure that the established periodic checks are conducted.

Execute reports as required by the Federal Aviation Administration in the required time frame.

Perform final acceptance inspections of all incoming materials including new parts, supplies, and the airworthiness of articles in which work has been performed outside the station by contract, upholding FAA standards for the Division Aviation Unit.

Responsible for the final acceptance of maintenance performed by outside contractors, upholding FAA standards for the Division Aviation Unit.

Responsible for the proper tagging and identification of all parts, and to see that rejected and unserviceable parts are disposed of after proper marking and reporting to the Director of Aircraft Maintenance. The Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor must ensure that no defective or unairworthy parts are installed in any aircraft released for service to the Aviation Unit.

Direct and supervise the quality of aircraft maintenance performed on Division aircraft by Aviation Unit mechanics.

Prepare performance evaluations for Aircraft Maintenance line personnel.

Schedule aircraft line mechanics to perform inspections, repairs and modifications on Division aircraft.

Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Aircraft Maintenance.

Minimum and/or Preferred Qualifications:Possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Maintenance License for at least ten (10) years.

Ten (10) years recent experience of lead mechanic in aircraft maintenance.

Possess own mechanics tools.

Willing to work weekends and late shifts.

Possess valid driver's license.

Additional Comments:Starting Salary: $71,847.00.
