Aerial Fire Suppression
Below are photo's of Aerial fire fighting which occurred during May 2006 in Ulster County, Town of Rochester. New York State Police utilized three Huey II helicopters in the water drop operations. Each aircraft was flown approximately 6 hours per day with about 30 bucket drops per aircraft. Each bucket holds approximately 240 gallons of water which translates to about 1900 lbs per drop.
